If You Do What You’ve Always Done, You’ll Always Have What You’ve Already Got

Are you comfortable with where you are in life? Do you have all that you aspire to have? And by that, I don’t mean stuff.

Are you comfortable with where you are in life? Do you have all that you aspire to have?

And by that, I don’t mean stuff. I mean quality of life. Are you comfortable?

Do you sleep well at night? Are you able to enjoy yourself without being concerned you’re spending too much money?

These are all really intimate and personal questions, none of which I expect you to answer right now.

But I’d recommend having a talk with yourself and getting some straight answers.

I often tell folks to look in the mirror and have a conversation with yourself. Not because you’ve lost your mind, but because you have to face yourself!

If you’re not living the life you want… If you don’t have the things you desire… Are you prepared to do something about it?

Human beings are driven by primarily two things… Greed and fear.

True success is finding a balance between the two, and I can honestly say that it’s one of the absolute hardest things you’ll ever do for yourself.

But you MUST do it!

Stone Crabs

A few weeks back I was in Orlando for a Traders Agency affair. But prior to heading there, we visited with my wife’s family in Miami.

It’s stone crab season, and if you’ve never had them… You absolutely should!

They’re DELICIOUS! But they’re also VERY EXPENSIVE.

We treated my brother and sister-in-law to Billy’s Stone Crabs in Hollywood. It was a beautiful South Florida evening.

The restaurant was on the intercostal. The water was literally breaking under the dock we were dining on.

The boats and yachts were motoring on by, and the food was AMAZING.

My wife and I aren’t fine diners. We’re perfectly content with a decent meal, but when we go out, especially when we’re treating our family… It’s game on!

We ordered the king size seafood tower with all the fixings, colossal stone crabs and all.

There was no price on the menu for what we had ordered. When it came to the table, I heard my sister-in-law say to my brother-in-law, “How much was this?”

Dinner was on me, but the fact that she asked tipped me off to the fact that had she spent that kind of money on an appetizer, it would’ve been painful for her to swallow.

Again, my wife and I are super simple folks… Not fancy by any means.

But when we’re with our family and we’re able to give them an experience they otherwise wouldn’t enjoy, it’s more than our pleasure to do so.

The reason I bring up this story is that it reverts back to the beginning of this article.

Are you where you want to be in life? You deserve anything and everything you’re willing to work and sacrifice for.

If you’re not there, get in front of that mirror and start talking!
