Another Score for the 1% Trading Blueprint?

I’ve been eyeing weakness in the gold market. And I have been preparing my students for it, particularly those who trade shorter time frames.

If you’re a member of any of my premium trading services here at Traders Agency, you get my interpretation the broad markets during our weekly meetings.

This is extra analysis outside of the specific topics we cover in each service.

However, I realize that my students are looking for opportunities to profit. And wherever I can help them in that regard, I try to do so!

Now, my attraction to the market really started with commodities in the beginning, and that’s an area of the market I remain committed to.

So, we naturally look at the gold futures (GC) market on a regular basis…

I like gold futures for the same reason I like crude oil futures (CL), which is their versatility when it comes to trading opportunities.

You can trade gold in the futures market, the exchange-traded fund (ETF) market as well as with an assortment of stocks that are tied to the underlying asset.

And, of course, there’s the options market as well.

Losing Shine?

I’ve been eyeing weakness in the gold market for some time now.

And I have been preparing my students for it, particularly those who trade shorter time frames.

Price action continued to “dance” on the blue support channel, and I was waiting for it to break.

Gosh, it seemed like I was talking about it for weeks on end…

But it finally broke down. When it did, it teed up nicely for a follow-through opportunity…

And in just a matter of days, it hit the projected target.

This is the setup I prefer… It was a weekly settlement 1%+ beyond a support or resistance structure with a 1%+ buffer at the projected target.

It doesn’t matter what this sets up on… It typically carries a strong success rate!

Gold did just what I had anticipated it to do. The trigger was set, and the trade was off to the races.

The opportunity was to sell around the area indicated at $1,742.30 and book profits around the area indicated below $1,705.00.

373 ticks later, at $10 per tick, the trade offered up $3,730 in easy profits.
